The Lodge
Space to settle in
Small enough to feel personal, with a garden large enough to give everyone privacy. Leafy paths connect the rooms, pool, dining areas and coast without making the lodge feel crowded.

Evening at the lodge
The kind of evening that needs very little planning.
A drink beneath the trees, dinner close to the water and the warmth of people gathering without ceremony.
The garden
A green centre to the stay
Mature mango and palm trees, Indian almond, jackfruit, avocado, cinnamon, star fruit, frangipani, bougainvillaea and hibiscus bring shade, colour and birdlife.
Bush babies appear after sunset, while the mangrove bay changes with the tide. Settle beneath a mango tree, on the pool terrace or wherever the garden feels quietest.

Care in practice
Looking after the garden and coast
Mangrove Lodge’s responsible approach is shown through everyday choices rather than broad claims.
- Kitchen and garden waste composted on site
- Glass and selected hard plastics sent to a nearby social enterprise
- Complimentary refill water around the lodge
- Wood, containers and other materials reused where practical
- Natural and locally available materials favoured where possible
- The beach cleaned daily of waste brought in by the sea
Water and tide
The pool and changing coast
The sea-view pool is an easy place to cool down, rest after an outing or spend a full day doing very little. Loungers, shade and the beach bar keep everything close and relaxed.
Swimming from the beach is easiest at high tide. At low tide, the shore opens for walking and the pool offers an easy alternative. The view keeps changing as the day unfolds.

Let the day stay open
Some days hold a full island experience. Others need very little added to them.
